Information takeaway

The DHI Hub at 31 Monmouth Street in Bath BA1 2AN offers a variety of services for people who want help with problems such as loneliness or lack of confidence, or who have health or money worries.

The services based here include the Information Takeaway, which helps people to find local groups, clubs and activities that they can take part in, and also tells them which local services are available for them. The Takeaway provides access to online databases and has a large selection of printed leaflets on site. DHI’s Information Officer can help people carry out online searches.

The service is free and confidential and DHI runs drop-in sessions on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am to 4:30pm which anyone can attend without an appointment. In addition, the organisation Well Aware runs a similar service from the Information Takeaway on Fridays from 9:30am to 4:30pm. The Takeaway can be contacted by ringing 01225 334 185 or emailing takeaway@dhibath.org.uk

The Hub also has a Money Management service. This is an appointment based service offering clients support in one-to-one meeting to look at and understand their finances. Sessions include completing a thorough personal budget to get a clear picture of and looking at ways to improve budgeting skills. It also provides information on types of bank accounts, understanding debt and planning ahead to better manage money.

Also based at the HUB is DHI's Reach housing service. More details.
