My Script Social Prescribing

Our service works closely with the 27 GP practices in B&NES to support people who visit their doctor frequently, sometimes with non-medical needs such as debt or housing problems, relationship difficulties or social isolation which the doctor may not be able to help with.  Through carefully guided conversations our staff can help to unpick the issues which may underlie or exacerbate your health conditions.  We can also offer ongoing support from one of our trained volunteers to help you get connected with other local services and groups that may help you work through any issues identified to improve your health and wellbeing.

If you are interested in volunteering with My Script we can offer a range of opportunities from ‘back office’ type administrative support or a variety of client support roles.  We are particularly interested to hear from people who may have used the My Script service themselves.

For more information on My Script take a look at our leaflet.
