The market stall's 'cut and come again' herbs The market stall's 'cut and come again' herbs

Fresh Start is DHI's market stall social enterprise.

Run by our service users, the weekly stall at Green Park Market in Bath distributes organic veg boxes on behalf of a local, community-owned farm, plus a wide range of plants, flowers, lettuces and herbs from a market garden social enterprise.

Everything we sell is sourced locally from not-for-profit community-based suppliers.
The veg boxes come from The Community Farm, a community-owned farm in nearby Chew Magna that aims to link local people with the land where their food is produced. As well as supplying fresh, organic, seasonal produce throughout the year, The Community Farm also provides regular opportunities for members of the public to get involved in the farm's work.

The plants, flowers, lettuces and herbs come from The Severn Project, a social reintegration project based in Keynsham. With a mission of teaching socially excluded individuals how to achieve independence, all of The Severn Project's growing work is undertaken by people from disadvantaged backgrounds, such as those recovering from drug or alcohol addiction.

The stall provides a stimulating environment for the team of volunteers, with a regular stream of customers to be served and enquiries dealt with.

Has this whetted your appetite? To order a veg box visit The Community Farm and select 'Green Park Station, DHI Bath' as your delivery location. (The link opens a new window in your browser).

For plants, flowers, cut-and-come-again salads and herbs, visit the stall – every Thursday from 12noon until 7pm.
