An allotment managed by the clients of a local charity won a Bath in Bloom award last night (Monday 22 August).
A new service to help people at risk of losing their homes is officially launched today (Friday August 12) in Midsomer Norton. The Reach Support Service provides practical and emotional support to people who have difficulties with their accommodation, or who may be homeless or at risk of homelessness. The service helps people to live independently and develop useful life skills.
People in Filton and Patchway who have a child, partner or relative with drink or drug problems can get help from a new local service. The West Country-based charity Developing Health and Independence is running a support group and one-to-one counselling sessions for local families.
A major new centre in Bath to help advise and treat people with drug and alcohol problems is being opened by the charity Developing Health and Independence (DHI).
