Reach Out Family Festival 2015
For every person grappling with drug and alcohol misuse, it’s estimated that at least five others are affected – husbands, wives and partners, mothers, fathers, siblings, children, grandchildren, friends, employers. Yet, as with most carers, their struggles go largely unacknowledged and under supported.
That’s why Developing Health & Independence (DHI) is holding our free Reach Out festival in Keynsham this June. This one day event offers families and loved ones in the UK an important opportunity to share their experiences with peers and professionals, and learn about accessing much needed support.
Reach Out 2015 runs from 2.30pm to 8.30pm at The Fry Club & Conference Centre, Somerdale, Keynsham, Bristol, BS31 2AU on Thursday 11th June.
Through a diverse range of informal talks, panels and workshops we’re hoping this event will offer some hope to those whose voices often go unheard, and even give them the chance to influence the shape of support for families and carers by meeting with health and social care sector professionals.
