About the volunteering opportunity

We are looking for people who can provide a warm welcoming and motivating initial contact point for all services users who are looking to access Drug and Alcohol Treatment and carers, especially those who are new to the service.

Overall purpose of role:

To be the first point of contact for all services for people referred or self-referring for drug and alcohol services.

What you will be doing:

  • Responding to enquiries from professionals, partner agencies, families, carers and service users.

What skills and experience are we looking for:

  • Experience working with people with substance use and/or mental health.
  • Experience taking calls and a professional, calm and confident phone manner.
  • Efficient and methodical, task-oriented and enjoy getting a job done well
  • General Admin skills.
  • Computer literacy
  • Shared values with DHI (Self-Direction, Stimulation, Zest for Life and Flexibility .

What we provide:

DHI provides full induction, training opportunities and will cover work-related expenses.
