Drug & Alcohol Practitioner

Salary: NJC pt 9-19 (£20,903 - £25,481), depending on experience, pro rata for part time roles.

Hours: 18.75 hours

Location: South Gloucestershire

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2022

The Role

DHI are recruiting a Drug and Alcohol Practitioner within the Primary Care Team, to support clients within South Gloucestershire who are experiencing problematic use of drugs and alcohol. This is an exciting and varied post with opportunities for creativity and innovation.

You will have the opportunity to work flexibly between home, DHI offices and a GP surgery to support clients. Providing non-judgemental advice that focuses on harm reduction and supports recovery you will work 1:1 and in small groups.

Your caseload will benefit from wrap-around support from the Throughcare and Triage team who support clients throughout their journey. This holistic, client-centred support enables clients to achieve their goals.

You will be joining an experienced and enthusiastic Primary Care Team that work hard to support each other, deliver an exceptional service to clients and meet our contract requirements.

You will hold a caseload of clients, and will provide a range of frontline support including 1:1 support as well as structured groups to support clients in achieving their goals.
