Recovery Support Worker

Salary: 24,231 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (5 days)

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: @Symes Community Building, South Bristol. On occasions other locations across Bristol as requested.

The Role

We are currently looking for a Recovery Support Worker (Drug & Alcohol worker)

You will be supporting people with drug and/ or alcohol problems to make changes to their substance use.

You will be part of the South Hub team providing a variety of support to people including alcohol detox support, initiating opiate substitute prescribing, relapse prevention and motivational interventions in a wide mix of mediums, specifically facilitating face to face groups and Zoom group support sessions, small amounts of 1-1 work both on the telephone & in person. You will have a caseload of clients to support through their substance recovery journey.

We are looking for someone who has experience in this field or similar, you are computer literate and you are interested in delivering content based groups, setting treatment goals & you have an understanding of safeguarding and writing support plans.

Most of our clients come from the surrounding South Bristol wards.
