West of England Works - Employment & Skills Worker - Bristol

Salary: NJC PT 20-22 (£25,991 - £27, 041) Depending on experience

Hours: 37.5

Location: Bristol A current valid UK driving licence and use of a vehicle and willingness to use it for the purposes of this role, including the provision of business insurance is an essential requirement.

Contract Type: Fixed Term until March 2022

Additional Information: 26 days plus statutory and bank holidays (1 additional day after each year of service, up to a maximum of 31 days).

The Role

DHI are excited to be recruiting a new WoEW Employment and Skills Worker to provide employment, education and training support across Bristol. As part of the role you will have an opportunity to work flexibly between home, DHI offices and client hubs.

The Employment & Skills Team is responsible for providing tailored and effective assessment, support planning and interventions to meet the identified education, training or employment (ETE) needs and goals of clients who face multiple barriers to accessing education, training and/or employment. The team work across DHI’s drug and alcohol treatments services, housing services and social prescribing programmes, working on a one-to-one and group basis.

This is a key post which will complement DHI’s existing services, and we are looking for applicants who will share our passion for our values, and our commitment to our client groups and our local communities. The post is in partnership with West of England Works which is a project co-funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund.
