About the Volunteering Opportunity:

We run a busy and exciting service in BANES that supports people who use drugs and alcohol.

We are looking for a wide range of volunteers to join and support our service by:

  • Meeting and Greeting Clients
  • Providing Information and Advice
  • Supporting our needle exchange programme, Naloxone distribution and Blood Borne Virus Testing
  • Supporting our drop-in services

You will also receive travel expenses and lunch paid on any of your volunteering days!

(This is an ideal role for someone who is interested in gaining experience in offering information, help and guidance to people who use drugs and supporting them with a non-judgemental, positive and empathetic approach.)

PRACTICAL CONSIDERATIONS

Please note that you will need to commit to a training program of 1 day a week for five weeks during the month of November/December 2022.

Full induction is given and travel expenses are available.

We particularly encourage applicants from LGBTQ+ candidates and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates.
