DHI is part of the exciting The West Of England Works project, which aims to help unemployed and economically inactive people in the West of England find employment. Led by Weston College, the project is part of the Building Better Opportunities programme, and has received £6 million of funding from the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund.
DHI is working with people across Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, and South Gloucestershire, who have a history of substance misuse problems and wish to re-enter the workplace. Participants in the project will be offered a comprehensive package of support, to help them meet their aspiration of finding work. Examples of the support on offer include:
